Website and pre-engagement terms
These public website terms explain how MFS Accountants handles website enquiries, personalised quotes, onboarding submissions, and client-portal access before full engagement work starts.
1. Quotes are no obligation
Any quote issued through the website is a no-obligation estimate based on the information supplied at the time. It is subject to confirmation of scope, identity, records quality, predecessor handover facts, and any further compliance checks the practice reasonably needs before work starts.
2. Work starts only after acceptance and review
Submitting a quote request or onboarding form does not by itself create a completed professional engagement. Work starts only when the practice confirms acceptance, the engagement terms are in place, and the required onboarding and compliance checks are complete.
3. Accuracy of information
You are responsible for making sure the information submitted through the website, onboarding flow, and client portal is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. If material facts change, you should tell the practice promptly so the quote, scope, timing, and compliance position can be reviewed.
4. Scope changes
If the actual records, entity structure, deadlines, transactions, payroll, VAT position, personal-tax facts, or predecessor handover position differ from the submitted information, the practice may amend the quote, timetable, or engagement scope before work begins or as the engagement develops.
5. Pricing basis
The website quote is based on the facts supplied and the practice's current pricing model. Starting-price guidance is published on the pricing and scope page, but the final fee depends on the real scope of work, the condition of the records, and any extra services or risks identified during review.
6. Website information is not standalone professional advice
The website, price guidance, and onboarding prompts are designed to help clients understand the process. They do not replace tailored professional advice on your exact tax or compliance position before the engagement is accepted and reviewed.
7. Portal and login use
Continue-later and client-portal logins are for the named client or authorised representative only. You must keep those credentials secure and notify the practice promptly if you believe a login, link, or device has been accessed by someone else.
8. Compliance and professional standards
The practice may request identity evidence, source-of-funds information, predecessor details, tax references, or other compliance information before work starts or continues. The practice may pause or refuse work if required compliance checks cannot be completed satisfactorily.
9. Website availability
The website, onboarding flow, and client portal are provided to make communication and document exchange easier, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. The practice may suspend or change website features where necessary for maintenance, security, or compliance reasons.
10. Contact
If anything in the public quote or onboarding process is unclear, contact the practice before accepting the engagement or uploading personal data you are not comfortable sharing yet: admin@mfs-accountants.com.
